When I hear AI in the context of edutech, I immediately ask myself:

> Is the motivation here to reduce expense by automating a human task?

or

> is the motivation to extend access by enabling an adaptation or accommodation?

### AI in service of increased profits

This perspective gets more promotion. IMHO, we should actively seek and discourage this motivation because it will result in decreased stakeholder value (ie students get screwed)

### AI in service of increased value

AI can lower the cost of providing accommodations, increasing access by making it more feasible to adapt content.
